Most of the money spent on health care goes to keep grandma and grandpa alive.
Why don’t we create more a supply of in home caretakers to help grandma die with dignity at home instead of some sterile hospital.
My mom had cancer. Because insurance limited what they would pay for in home care, she stayed most of the time in a hospital. What a waste!!! She could have died at home, but we needed someone to watch her while my sister and I worked and raised our own families.
It’s a matter of changing our priorities and letting people die with dignity.
